TERRITORIAL RESILIENCE IN FAMILY LIVESTOCK MICROENTERPRISES: THE RESOURCES-NETWORKS-ADAPTATION TRIAD

Esta investigación, analizó los mecanismos de adaptación de una microempresa ganadera especializada en engorda de ganado bovino semiestabulado, ante disrupciones causadas por la COVID-19; reveló un marco conceptual de resiliencia territorial, basado en tres pilares interconectados. Mediante un diseño longitudinal, se estudiaron tres ciclos productivos (prepandémico, pandémico y pospandémico) combinando entrevistas semiestructuradas, observación directa y análisis cuantitativo de costos de producción. Se empleó un modelo jerárquico para analizar su cadena de suministro, examinando eficiencias productivas y adaptaciones estratégicas. Los resultados demostraron que la resiliencia se sustentó en tres pilares: (1) recursos locales (38 ha, 3 ollas de agua), que redujeron 27% la dependencia de insumos externos, (2) activos relacionales, redes comunitarias (redes de confianza con 68% de clientes recurrentes) y (3) capacidad adaptativa que priorizó circuitos locales (92% de ventas ≤50 km). Esta articulación, permitió mantener 100% de su operatividad y una rápida recuperación con márgenes de ganancia que pasaron de 11% durante la crisis, a 21.2% en la fase pospandémica. Entre las innovaciones adaptativas basadas en conocimiento tácito, destacan la sustitución temporal de alimento balanceado, por cáscara de naranja y la producción autónoma de silo de maíz. El estudio, aporta un marco conceptual para concebir la resiliencia en contextos de disrupción, no como un atributo intrínseco del espacio geográfico, sino como el resultado de estrategias activas, que vinculan escalas locales con mercados externos. Se destaca la importancia de la flexibilidad operativa y las redes de confianza en la sostenibilidad de microempresas rurales.
