Agriculture Society and Development is a bilingual, open access, quarterly journal, published in Early Access and edited by the Colegio de Postgraduados, with the aim of disseminating the results of scientific research carried out by academics and researchers from Mexico and around the world focused mainly on sociological, anthropological and cultural research themes related to agriculture and its protagonists.
Starting in February 2026, the journals of the Postgraduate College, Agroproductividad and Agricultura Sociedad y Desarrollo (ASyD), will require a fee of $10,000.00 MXN (Ten thousand pesos 00/100 MN) for each article accepted for publication, covering editing, layout, and DOI.

Publication Costs
- Starting in January 2025, the Postgraduate College Journal will charge a fee of $10,000.00 (Ten thousand pesos 00/100 MN) for each article accepted for publication. This fee covers editing, layout, XML tagging, and DOI.
- In support of authors, starting February 1, 2026, the journal Agricultura, Sociedad y Desarrollo (Agriculture, Society and Development) has determined that the translation into English (or into Spanish, if the article was submitted in English) of articles submitted to the journal's website from that date forward may be done by professionals designated by Agricultura, Sociedad y Desarrollo and paid for by the authors themselves, or it may be done professionally by the authors (not using online translators such as Google Translate or Artificial Intelligence). This means it must be done by someone specialized in the language or a native English speaker. However, the ASyD Journal's translator must review the article to ensure accuracy, and this translation will also cost $175.00 pesos (one hundred seventy-five pesos 00/100 M.N.) + IVA per page (excluding bibliographic references). The fees and payment terms for translation services, as well as for translation revision, will be agreed upon between the author and translator. This payment is separate from any fees paid to the Postgraduate College for publications..
- By agreement of the General Academic Council and the General Administrative Council, authors from the Postgraduate College are exempt from publication fees. External or non-member authors will pay the unit publication price of $8,000.00 (Eight thousand pesos 00/100 MN). In other words, if an article has both Postgraduate College authors and external authors, the latter must pay the full fee ($8,000.00 pesos), as only authors belonging to the Postgraduate College are exempt.
